Highland Park / Time To Kill

Highland Park

Connie Price and The Keystones, the L.A. based ensemble led by guitarist Dan Ubick and trumpeter Todd Simon, released this 7” as their second foray on Now-Again. An ode to the borough of Los Angeles where the song was recorded (and where Stones Throw and Now-Again are headquartered), this deep funk workout was singled out by the UK’s Mr. Scruff for one of his many compilations. “Highland Park” is paired with the ska-funk cover of The Band’s “Time To Kill” on the flip.
